Paper pleats

I entered a cake competition with this cake and won third place with it :-)
Pattern is royal icing, pleats are wafer paper.

This is absolutely beautiful. I love the colours, the pattern and this pleats are so pretty and delicate. Well done on coming third – my but the other two must have been amazing to beat you! X

Well Judy, my icing lines were not as clean as they could be, I should have used a bigger flower on the bottom and I used too little different techniques for a competition cake. Well, it was my first time competing :-)
