This is a traditional cake which has a chalice holding betel (areca) leaves and nuts. They are chewed and act as a stimulant! They are blessed by the elder generation to wish the couple happy beginnings. The cake also has the jaanti scissors which are used for slicing the nuts. It also features some henna patterning on the scarf! I love the research side of cakes too im such a geek haha. This was a 12" pillow cake approx 5" high and everything is completely edible! xx
