Helium balloon cake

My twins 8th birthday cake.
RKT ‘hellium’ balloon’, airbrushed and glazed.
It was very heavy if I did this again, the 8 would have been better made from a styrofoam dummy.

I saw this on FaceBook and hadn’t realised it wasn’t a helium balloon – I remember thinking it was a shame it had floated in front of the cake! Now feel very daft as well as in awe of the work 😊

Thank you! I wanted it to float on top, but it was way too heavy in the end.

It’s AMAZING!!!!!!! Looks so realistic, it might pop!! So shiny, must have coats and coats of glaze to get that shine on it xx Fantastic job :-)
