As part of a small in house collaboration we were given the theme Old Curiosity Shop. My curiosity is about jellyfish and the deep sea.
I used a mixture of sugar mediums to create this piece. The jellyfish are made from gelatine. I used a paper mache technique with wafer paper to create the surface of the rocks and seabed. The coral is a mixture of rice paper and fondant, finally the seaweed is isomalt. The backboard was airbrushed then finished with hand painted fish.
