It was my daughter’s 5th Birthday and this cake was made for her to celebrate with her class mates. My lil one just started her schooling this year and her class theme of the month is’Journey’. Her class is currently decorated with related items from ‘The Very Hungry Caterpillar’ book by Eric Carle. So, I thought of making a simple ‘Hungry Caterpillar’ cake for her class Birthday party.Initially I thought of baking some decorated cupcakes and this was a last min theme idea. So, got only one night to prepare everything.The effort was worth! Still remember the excitement on kids face when I brought this cake to her class.Her class teacher also liked the cake and she spent some time telling the Hungry Caterpillar story and showing each and every fruit it ate before becoming a beautiful Butterfly.
