A wedding venue local to Belfast, Larchfield Estate, has a tree in their barn with 5 tiers enabling you to have your cakes placed on it, this just screamed at me Alice in Wonderland so I set about designing 3 cakes for it, The Madhatters Hat, a tabletop and teapot, and a toadstool with a teacup on top. I placed little alcoholic minatures with “Drink Me” labels and stacks of cookies with “Eat Me” labels on the other two tiers.

I then organised a photoshoot with Shoot for the Moon Media, who is also, fortunately for me, my husband, I wanted it to have more of a Tim Burton feel hence the styling and moody lighting. The last shot by Fiona Jamieson Photography, shows how they were then displayed at The Quirky Weddings Alternative Wedding Fair on a smaller tree stand.

They definitely got peoples attention, I hope they get yours too!
