Hi all,
This is a wedding cake I made last week for a friend of mine. It was my first time making a tiered cake in February and my first all-buttercream fill & coat – I had such a trial of a time with it. The weather was so humid, raining non stop the whole time I was making it such that the fondant didn’t dry properly (still don’t know how to handle that!) and I had a real problem with air bubbles developing on 2 of the tiers too, I had to keep working them out. I got quite stressed out by this one but thank goodness it all worked out alright in the end.
The design was to match a dark red and gold Asian bridal costume, but I was only given that much as a description- no photos. So I went for marsala as the colour of the year, then tried to channel the given theme as much as possible. and this is the result. Thanks to Dusky Rose Veiners for their freesia tutorial.
Hope you like it! Thanks for looking
best wishes,
