Well, it’s been a while since I last posted, so I ought to start with yesterday’s cake and work back in time from there !
This was another hand-painted ‘Alice’ cake, copying the original book illustration, and is the second one I’ve done now (‘Bonkers’ was the first), and I have to say I LOVED sitting in my little painty zone ! It was created for a real-life Alice who is mad for all things Wonderland, and so what better design to give her for her 21st birthday !
A simple 8" vanilla madeira with buttercream and white choc ganache hides underneath.
It’s a mix of Sugarflair Midnight Black dust and lemon juice, painted directly onto the white fondant, with a wafer paper flower to the top.
