I wanted to create a new display cake that I felt could bridge the gap between the current trend for naked cakes and the predicted trend for my glamorous and sophisticated cakes. A half way house is a frosted cake, perfect for those who like a little more than just bare sponge. I thoroughly enjoyed making the wafer paper flowers and love the lightness they bring to the cake. :-)
