I created this for one of my regular customers. She has bought cakes from me for 4 years now and has 3 cakes a year and she always appreciates and loves them so much. She lovely to deal with and discuss designs with and gives me a lot of free reign. I was very excited when she gave me this theme, all she did was show me the stripy paper cups for the party and I used that as inspiration for the colours and just added red too to finish it off. This was a labour of love, I did have to bake the cake 3 times (yes a bad week for baking) hubby baked the 3rd and it was perfect (thank goodness for him) and I spent 11 1/2 hours decorating this and I loved every single minute. The customer burst out crying when she saw it and kept apologising as she wiped tears away and then started crying again, she was truly overwhelmed and that made this even more special for me as I knew she was very happy.
