This gluten free, sandcastle wedding cake made a bumpy 4 hour drive to the wedding destination and happily withstood the summer heat! As you can imagine, the couple LOVES the beach and therefore had a beach themed wedding and reception! The cake fit right in! (Nothing better than seeing the cake in a room and it fitting in perfectly!) This was a fun cake especially because I had been sent the wrong texture mats that I ordered for this cake and could not get the proper ones in time so it was all texture with one handy dandy tool! haha I looked into numerous different ways to create the sandcastle look (from sugar to chocolate…and everything in between). This is what I decided to go with, clean and simple and I think it did the job! Most importantly the bride and groom loved it! I hope you do too! <3
