A special birthday gift for my childhood best friend who I’ve known for 37 years. She’s a very creative young woman who has an amazing eye for design and colour. Our most memorable years growing up were the 80’s of which we have many fond memories and some terribly embarassing photos and hairstyles! I’m inspired here by Nicholas Kirkwood and his abstract art in his shoe collection as well as 80’s neon pop, so I combined both in this Sassy Cakes original shoe. The ponytail which is also my favourite part of the shoe is all hand cut rice paper coloured with black lustre dust – everything else is also edible. Hope you like it x
