My little nephew Teo turned One !!! Teo is born on Dec 23, and my brother and his wife refused to have a xmas-themed birthday for their son’s first birthday and wanted the Fly High theme. So Fly High it was, they showed me a picture they liked and wanted me to do the same. I have tried to track that picture back to the original cake artist and could not unfortunately. This cake is inspired by that cake but is not a total copy. I was also lucky to have been chosen by Ceri from Fancy Cakes by Linda to try newly designed cutters by FMM that included the cloud cutters (which I used extensively here) and kids play cutters from which I used the balloon cutter used as hot air balloon on the cupcakes and cookies that went along with this cake!!! The Hot Air Balloons on this cake are hand cut. I enjoyed making the topper with the squirrel and 3D balloon; and my brother and wife saved it while they were here and took it back to Dubai with them (where they live) and had another party there and used it on a cake they made :-)
