Let’s hear it for the boys! In celebration of Ford Mustang’s 50th year, 33 talented men from 14 different countries got together to honor this gorgeous machine in sugar…we call them the REV HEADS.
This was my contribution a Mustang Mach 1 1st edition toy car in its original packaging. I decided on this design after seeing my son playing with his Hot Wheel cars. I wasn’t sure if I could pull off the gelatin packaging. The toy car is chocolate cake covered in fondant and hand painted. The car is on a base that is attached vertically to the backboard.The board is foamcore covered in fondant. I did a combination of hand painting, airbrushing, edible images, and stenciling to create the packaging board. There is also a stand that props the cake up vertically at a small angle.
