I had the absolute honour and pleasure to be part of New Zealands first collaboration – Cakes from Middle Earth, paying tribute to our Sir Peter Jackson and all of his incredible work. My piece is based on the Weta bust of the Fell Beast VS Eagle from the Lord of the RIngs trilogy, Return of the King (the third and final movie of the trilogy and my fav <3 )

The Beast and the Eagle are sculpted entirely from modelling chocolate which was then airbrushed and hand painted, the tree stump is hand painted fondant. All up I think I spent about 50 hours on this piece, it took me about five hours alone to hand place every single feather on that eagle lol.
