This cake was made for a special couple. The cake is a 6" double barrel covered in white chocolate ganache. I decided to paint my naked ganached cake instead of covering it in fondant so I added some texture and gave it a birch wood tree effect with edible paint. I also wanted to do something fun and non-traditional so I carved “she said yes” on the tree instead of their initials since the topper already had them. I thought would be a nice touch with the beautiful topper provided by my client.
The flowers are fondant cabbage roses & hydrangeas. Also, there were 50 tiny mini cakes for their guests, key lime pie and pumpkin spice. They mesured 1 1/2" round x 1 1/2" tall.
Congratulations Shawn & Gabby on your engagement.
Lovely!
