Charlotte wedding cake
This super heavy weight 4 tier wedding cake is my last of 2014. I spent hours ganaching and covering it to achieve the lovely sharp edges to ensure that the edible lace had an exact line to follow.
The base tier is a chocolate truffle with chocolate buttercream ganache. The second tier is a simple vanilla sponge with strawberry jam and vanilla buttercream. The third tier is Earl grey sponge with rosewater buttercream and the top tier is almond sponge with a morello cherry buttercream.
I used a new supplier for my premixed gold cake lace and it has far more intensity of colour.
