Special order for 40 cupcakes with a NZ flora and fauna theme. Young lady moving to the island of Raoul to work in animal conservation which is such an admirable and brave thing to do. My favourite hand modelled toppers were the Romney Sheep, Leatherback Turtle and Kiwi bird. The Nikau Palm trees were made with rice paper I painted then cut and ‘fluffed’ to look like palm fronds. I added little labels on the cupcake cases as I wanted it to be a bit educational too, like reading a book on NZ and seeing pictures with info underneath. The cupcakes were specially requested as vegan gluten free so I made chocolate, vanilla and sticky date – all with flavour centres I made such as coconut sugar toffee, raspberry and strawberry.
