I made this cake for my daughters nursery who have been raising money all week for the BBC Children in Need charity day here in the UK.

Pudsey bear is my first teddy bear shaped carved cake. I have made a couple of cars before but carving this bear was a whole new ball game! I am pleased with the outcome, although he is slightly wonky it adds to his charm ;)

What I learned was – carving cake that is cold is easier than one that is at room temperature and that poking the bear with the end of an icing nozzle, to make fur, takes far longer than you can ever imagine!!!
