I made this cake for submission for Sweet Magazine in early 2014 – the Birthday edition.

Each tier of the cake represents the different layers of her outfit – the striped stockings, petticoat and skirt of her dress, the patchwork feature on her apron and of course the strawberry vine and picket fence on the top tier.

The figurine is totally made from fondant too.
