The directive… we need a wine barrel shaped cake and it must be sitting on coconut shavings…

I was so excited to make this cake. This cake was for an 80th birthday for my Uncle-in-law (is there such a thing) and it was a pleasure to make. The cake consisted of 3 8" round cakes that I carved down a bit to make the shape more recognizable. Vanilla cake with coconut buttercream (the birthday boy’s favorite). As an added touch, the grapes were made from grape flavored fondant. They smelled divine!
