I am so lucky to be part of this great collaboration and among all amazing 36 artists in the context of celebrating culture and bringing the world to one. My inspiration for the cake goes like this :
Diwali is celebrated based on the Indian Epic story “Ramayana”, of return of Ram with Sita. Diwali speaks a universal language & signifies the dispelling & burnout of all that is spiritually gross in an individual and his/her movement to surrender the self to the supreme being; a leap from ignorance/darkness to light/knowledge/enlightenment. Diwali celebrates wealth. Diwali celebrates Hindu New Year.

Goddess Lakshmi is known for bringing prosperity and wealth the reason she being worshipped.

Indian Women are associated with Goddess Lakshmi. They are considered as the “light” of every household. They are the pillar of strength, wealth and protects their home from all odds and bring love and light. The well adorned Indian lady portrays lakshmi. ‘The dot’ of the bindi signifies the ushering of prosperity for the kith & kin and the place where the bindhi is placed is between the eyebrows where energy and light is concentrated. Namaste signifies respecting and salutations to the light that is in me and you. The earthern lamp or Diya symbolises the triump of light over darkness.

Rangoli is thought to bring good luck and it is used especially in festivals to welcome the occassion and guests. Wishing a very Happy
