So here it is … Yesterday’s surprise birthday cake. All hand-painted with Midnight Black petal dust, topped with a flower made of wafer paper that I printed using the original image and text from the book.
Yes, I know it’s a mash-up of quote (it’s the Mad Hatter talking to Alice) and image (Alice reached a fork in the road…), but I love them both so wanted to put them together… I hope you like it <3

8" extra deep toffee cake, filled with a mix of dulce de leche and undercoated with Caramac ganache, yummm !! Oh, and for the record, I even got to take a chunk back home (ahh the bonus of it being for a best buddie !! :D )
