I saw a cake with a fish coming out the side of it with all these dynamic splashes earlier this year and I just loved it. When a customer asked me to make a little fishing cake for her father (it’s just 6"), I immediately knew I wanted to recreate it – unfortunately I couldn’t find the pic again.

At first I made the splashes symmetrical but it just wasn’t right. Then my husband passes by and reminds me the splashes have to be all over, in every direction!

And yes! the toes on his right leg are wonky!
