I was asked, somewhat last minute, to do a (GULP!) Minecraft cake for my friend’s son’s birthday. I have seen other cake artists do them, and I was always kind of thinking, “Nice job. But better you than me!”
That didn’t last long :)
But I was actually excited because it was a challenge: Turning “cubes” into something attractive was going to be interesting!
Instead of sticking to the prerequisite green and black, I needed to add at least SOMETHING cheery (haha!), so I did a sky blue.
And made a little figure of the “Steve” character too. He’s such a square! (Okay…stop your laughing…I know you’re laughing.)
Inside is a Triple Chocolate dairy-free cake and vegan vanilla buttercream.
