I made cookies and cupcakes for a Cuban Sweet Table. It was his birthday and he gave me a list of cuban birds and asked me to make some biscuits about them, and some cupcakes too.
I searched for them on the internet to know their appearance, I baked 80 cookies and covered them with royal icing. The next thing I did was… painting and painting and continuing painting… and next some more painting! ha ha they were free hand painted with edible paintings.
I also made a kind of fondant stamp as topping for the cupcakes and painted them with the colours he asked me to, (red and blue) with an invented bird, well I didn´t look at it so It´s like a generic bird.
The biscuits are made with almonds, and the cupcakes are caarrot cupcakes with mascarpone buttercream.
