I felt so priviledged to do this wedding cake for the daughter of the lady who actually came up with the name of “Callicious” 4 years ago. she used to be my boss when I worked for an American Software Company. This was so well received by. To only the bride and groom but their families too. I’ve known the bride since she’s was at school. Very special.
All the flowers are made from sugarpaste and the roses (apart form centre wire) are unwired and free formed. The peonies I worked from photos to try and capture their delicate movement
The cakes were: rich and boozy fruit cake, lemon drizzle, sponge, rich dark chocolate
The royal icing piping details I did as a last minute inspiration as the venue has a Moroccan decor, hence that design I used to blend with the decor.
A very very special mention to my very talented friend Christine Craig of http://facebook.com/LaLavande who gave me an invaluable lesson in how to make roses… She’s not only a true friend, but an incredibly talented lady… Yes she is here on Cakes Decor too :)
More photos can be seen in the album on my page at: http://www.facebook.com/callicious
