A sweet, sad-eyed Bassett Hound ready to sit atop her owners birthday cake (see other pics)
It’s not often I get to do cakes for the fellas, so thought I’d go with a soft grey as a change from the white I’d usually use for these ‘simple’ cakes (I say simple, but I often tear my hair out making these toppers, trying to get something recognisable … My hands just won’t always do what my head is telling them ! :D)
Anyway, it was a 6" zingy-licious lemon madeira, lemon curd buttercream and undercoated with white choc ganache.

This is adorable but I totally understand what you mean about making toppers. My hands don’t seem to get the message as to what I was envisioning in my head. I guess that is a common problem. lol
