A Childhood Memory ~
This is a special cake for a young Gentleman who turned 80 today. The painting is an edible print of the actual painting he did a couple of years ago. It is the house he grew up in as a child and there are no photos of it. It has been totally recreated from his memory. The old rusty blue Ford was his grandfathers’ car that he loved to work on with his granddad.
When asked to do this cake – the brief was all about the painting and to emphasize his love for painting and the car and the house – to bring back that memory. They wanted the cake to just be a simple square. This is what I came up with. I hope I have captured these precious memories in cake!
Thanks for looking.
