Here is my newest cake I did for Cake Masters magazine July edition.

“Summer Holiday Stories” – The design must be based on a Minimum 3 tiered cake. Your cake must tell a summer holiday story, it can encapsulate many emotions i.e. Counting down the days to holiday, the rush to the airport, panic – where is my passport, Nerves on the plane, arriving in style, holiday luxuries, backpacking adventure…Anything really, you can be very creative – it just needs to tell a story’

My cake inspiration:
Everyone loves summer. Almost every family loves to go away and whether they are flying away by airplane, going on a camping trip, packing up the car to go on a trip or go to a beach. So my inspiration for the summer holiday themed cake was my own family. We always go away in the summer, we love to travel. However, packing up for a trip can be a bit stressful most especially for a “heavy traveller” like me. The bottom tier shows the mom stress out on what to bring and how much to bring while the husband and daughter just relax and have finished packing.

The second tier shows the family “finally there” whereby the husband takes care of carrying the luggage while the wife is already relaxing on the beach in style and the little girl playing in the sand.

Last minute addition was our dog by the footsteps.
