This cake was commissioned for my sister’s 50th birthday celebration which was held in a tipi village in East Sussex. When lit the large icing dome shows a star-filled sky including the constellation of Virgo, which is her birthsign, then beneath the trees and sky is the tipi village scene, with tipi door flaps and bunting waving in the breeze. An iced 12 inch decadent rich chocolate cake filled with chocolate ganache sits inside. So far this is the largest dome I have created and was so pleased (and concerned about driving it over 100 miles, I had to take a picture of it before I completed the cake (see the last photo).
