I made this cake for a couple celebrating their 50th Wedding Anniversary. They were married in New York in the Spanish and Portuguese synagogue and had their reception at the famous Tavern on the green where they danced to Jazz played by the band they were both in.

I handpainted all the 3D plaques and added grey silhouettes of Central Park and skyscrapers.

I did have a problem writing the sign on the canopy as I had painted it in red beforehand so the white didn’t show up very clearly, next time I would use red flower paste… I always learn something new with each cake! :-)
