This is something that I put together for my Mother in Law. A little birdie let me know that Wee Willie Winkie is her favorite Shirley Temple movie so “wee” based the cake around that.
The cake is based on the Shirley Temple drink. I used Vernor’s in the batter, and each layer is brushed with a mixture of Vernor’s and grenadine.
Covered and filled with grenadine butter cream.
Finished in fondant with fondant details and edible images.
Hand crafted topper.
