Scrat – the funniest prehistoric squirrel from Ice Age …. the one who chases the ever elusive acorn causing continents to shift and glaciers to crack…. he is the epitome of die hard focus and is my personal hero.

I jumped at the chance to make a replica of Scrat when Dr Nisbet called up for a birthday cake for his lil angel.

The scene where the ice shifts below the wonky squirrel while he’s at another history changing futile attempt at the acorn came rushing to the mind. The clashing looks of abject terror and fierce determination on his face when it comes to his daunting goal… I wanted to capture that moment for the little birthday girl……. for her 1st birthday.
