Not every cake needs a cheerful event. This cake was created to honor a wonderful man who recently passed away. I was touched by the family’s request and I’m grateful that I’ve been offered the opportunity to make this cake. The sea along with the beach and the sea gulls was the requested theme. There was this sentence on the mourning card “Flown away but still in our heart”, that made me think of a song of Josh Groban “ To Where You are” . This song seems to give a lot of comfort to a lot of people. I do hope that the cake had just a bit of the same comfort for the family. “To Where You Are!”…
