I made this cake for my little boy who turned 1 today!! He’s not really into any tv characters yet so I decided to base the design around his favourite thing – his knitted elephant soft toy he’s had since newborn.

I took inspiration from my favourite of his newborn babygrows to create a patchwork quilt effect board. I also made a knitted effect silicone mould in order to create a knitted fondant pattern on the elephant.
