I never get the opportunity or request for cupcakes so this week when one of the volunteer mum’s from school asked for some for a baby shower I jumped at the chance. I wanted to give each and every one their own look and personality. I used lots of texture. Was not quite aware how long they would take but it was well worth it in the end. I used a lot of different ideas from all the ones I had found on Google so although nothing is truly original I did try to combine a lot of different things to make them my own.

Thanks Julez and Christy for your continued support of my work, Big hugs. If you have not been over to Icing Images I recommend you do and look at the Sweet accents machine by Spellbinders and the embossing mats . I used the Celtic Braid mat for a lot of the imprint on these owls. Super easy and the effect is priceless.

Thank you Marlene, Dina, and cakemummy you girls are the best. It took 9 hours, I could have done a cake in the same time it took to do 40 cupcakes,lol. I hope I was just so slow cause I don’t do them very often, but I can tell ya I cut out around 600 fondant pieces for these little cuties.
