After winning Gold in November for my first competition piece at Cake International I decided to enter again at the Manchester show. I chose a to do a cake completely out of my comfort zone as I wanted to challenge myself. And what more of a challenge than trying to create the Queen of baking herself? Mary Berry.
I entered the Sculpted Novelty Cake category and so my cake had to be entirely edible with no supports or dummies. This proved a challenge! But she arrived at the show safely and I was awarded a Silver medal!
