My daughter insisted on a purple giraffe cake for her birthday this year. I wasn’t inspired until I ran across a ceramic origami giraffe in a store one day. I think it may have been a moment of insanity. It turned out to be the hardest cake I’ve ever attempted. In the end, my daughter was thrilled and that’s all that counts.
