This cake was a real pleasure to make. It’s nice to do something that has historical links.
I was asked by Elaine if I’d make a Military cake for Adrian who was interested in the Northamptonshire Regiment. After looking for a logo for the regiment I found a version of the cap badge which is the last photo above and I also found a link which helped me to understand more about the regiment. I’ve learned that the Regiment was long running through the 1st World War, but later disbanded and reformed into the Royal Anglian Regiment in 1960.
