Lego Star Wars CAKE for my son’s 7th birthday. It has been a busy week for me and I haven’t been too well and had done nothing for this cake till yesterday. I managed to finish it but I do wish I had started on it a bit earlier so I could spend more time on all aspects of it. The figurines are molds I made from my son’s toys. I had a few issues with covering as the cakes are 6 inches tall each and had a few tears so had to do some patch jobs. And the Millennium Falcon fell off tearing away part of the cake too!! And I had quite a time trying to cover the Death Star and making it look neat. I didn’t cover the board either as it’s just for us at home and a few kids that are absolutely Lego Star Wars crazy so am sure they will enjoy it. My son is thrilled and we all can’t wait to cut into it in a few hours!!! It’s dark Chocolate cake with a layer of Ganache and Vanilla Butter Cream. I will be serving it with Custard.

Ah…sorry Mel you had so much trouble….I know how you feel. But the cake looks great, and your son loved it…that made all the trials worth it…… Sounds yummy too!!!
