Made mmf for the first time and well I don’t know if it’s right.. I made it like it said and it’s reall soft, when I rolled in into a ball it fell a little.. So question is, is it suppose to be that soft.. Plz help!!

No, it shouldn’t be that soft. Sounds like you need more powdered sugar in it. Here is a link to the MMF recipe I use. It is amazing! Always perfect, rolls out great, doesn’t tear, and tastes delicious.

Thank you, still learning this page group thing, hopefully I post them in the right place..This is about my 5th cake, but was first time making mmf.. And had to throw it out, just didn’t come out right.. Thanks for replying.. Very appreciated

Not sure if this was the case, but MMF will be very soft when you first finish making it. It should sit for at least a few hours to firm up a bit before using. Otherwise, maybe you added too much water, or not enough powdered sugar. It really all depends on the region you live in. Where I live, in NOLA, it is very humid so I use a little more powdered sugar. Play around with it to see what ratios work best, and you will get it that MMF to work for you! LMMF (artisan’s recipe) works wonderfully, but I prefer to do without the store bought fondant in effort to save $.

Thank you, I did have to waste the first two I made, the third one I made, I let it set in ice box over night and it definitely worked better.. Thanks for ur help
