Pantone's Color of the Year 2015 - Marsala

What are people’s thoughts on this color?

Personally, it’s not one of my favorites. It definitely lends itself to a fall color palette but I feel it’s so “dull.”

Anyone have any guesses has to how to achieve this color in fondant?

I’m not sure if I like it. I’m in summer here so I am loving cooler colours at the moment.

I guess it would be ok in a bronze. And perhaps we’ll see more of it in Wedding cakes this year.

I like it, to me it is very elegant.

I think it can be very elegant when combining with other colours!

I can see it as a fall color, but not for spring or summer weddings. There was so much pink last year with all the pale pink peonies and cabbage roses. I love the soft pale colors. They are so romantic.

Everytime I get a notification I see the colour and it’s growing on me!! :) :) :)

Oooh I really like this colour. I would say experimenting with red and brown and maybe a touch of purple? Pretty as accents.
