The one I am using at the moment is from Sugarpaste Direct. You buy it online and I enjoy working with it. I have used Asda’s own brand recently too and it is pretty good and really cheap. What do you use? :-)

I use tesco as its not bad and easy to work with, but just read about massa and its so expensive doubt people will want to pay for it !

That is the trouble. I would like to try it and I know I would like it but I don’t want to get hooked on such expensive stuff. Maybe for wedding cakes…… Also, I think the Massa is supposed to be really easy to work with but generally people just peel off the fondant anyway so the fact that it tastes better may be lost on the customer…… (I still want to try it though) :-D
I have used Tesco but I find Asda’s better and cheaper. I use Tesco’s just for covering boards now if I don’t have any Asda’s. Did you ever try Mitch Turner’s brand one that they sold in Sainsbury’s a year or so ago – it was revolting and I am amazed she ever put her name to it! :-/

Never tried Mitch turners, my Sainsbury’s aren’t very good at stocking fondant. I’ll try the tracks now thanks willing to find a better cheap one.
A tub of messa 500g is £12 that’s too much, if I put my prices up people might go else where !!!

Not tracks, ASDA lol

I like both Sugarpaste Direct and Squires – both have added cmc which makes them lovely to handle and work with. Keep hearing about Massa but very expensive and would need to buy in too large a quantity to get the cost of shipping down.

Thank you, will look into those. Is there a brand which is good for sharpe edges ?

Well I can get pretty good edges with most but I think it is really down to what is underneath – either ganache or really chilled buttercream that makes the edges possible :-) x

Windsor cake co sells massa at an average of £7 a kilo if you buy the 7kg tub (which i presume lasts) – I don’t think that’s too bad for something that could save you hours and you can roll very thin? I’ve decided I’m going to try it after reading the other thread (I’d never heard of it before that point LOL)

Ooh Sawsen, I am getting very close to giving in! :-D
