It is an utterly charming cake, Shirley. What a shame folks think it is perfectly OK to use any image they choose without credit.

Thanks Sandra. I wasn’t sure if I was being too sensitive.

It’s a shame, they don’t credit you.

Although flattering, they absolutely should have given you, and any other decorator, credit. Any publication or website worth it’s salt, does. I myself would have contacted them and said as much.

Not being too sensitive at all, Shirley. Your original designs should always be credited to you.

I found it on another site too when I did a image search. It just gives source as Pinterest. https://bestwedding.icu/wedding-cake-martini/wedding-cake-martini-beautiful-little-black-dresses-for-women/

Ah well, that is the world of the internet I suppose. I don’t own a business so it isn’t helping or hurting sales for me, just bruised my ego a bit. :)

Shirley

Maybe you should just accept it as a compliment, which it really is, if you think about it. Someone considered your design worth sharing, so you know it is good.

I agree Sandra. Imagine if Van Gogh were alive today to see how many cakes have been done with his Stary Starry Night theme. :)

It happens to me and I am given a model by the client, without knowing where the client took the model and in this case, even if the design is not identical, an idea is taken, but I do not know whose design is. .

I understand that Felis. In this case they took it from my board on Pinterest.

Thanks Felis, I will take it that way. It isn’t as though they took credit for making it afterall.
