No Jersey080 I don’t mean putting crisco on your hands and on your working surface. That helps, but that won’t reconstitute gumpaste. You have to knead the crisco right into the dry gumpaste. As you knead it in, you can feel the gumpaste getting easier to handle, softer. You wrap and let it absorb for several minutes. Gumpaste should be very well wrapped and stored in a cool, dark place. I actually keep my containers of gumpaste in large coffee cans….works well….
