With all my years of decorating at our bakery (35 years), I’ve been sticking pretty much to the ‘catalog’ designs such as Bakery Crafts and DecoPac. Pretty much all the same techniques in mass production. Now that my daughter and an assistant have taken over that side of the business, I’m concentrating on the wedding or tiered cakes only. When brides started bringing me in photos of cakes with designs I wasn’t familiar with, I turned to the internet and purchased a lot of tutorials and did a lot of practicing and bought a lot of new gadgets!
