Hi, I’ve only made one but for the strings I used silver elasticated cotton – that way I could pull the ‘strings’ tight and make them straight without actually pulling too hard – and when I cut it it looked a bit like ‘string’ too….good luck too. Oh, make all the little bits and pieces in advance with florist paste, and I agree with Allways Julez above, a strong cake board is a must. xx
