Texture mats can be a god send allowing effects to be created quickly. However, I struggled to get an even texture on larger pieces of sugarpaste (fondant) using my rolling pin. The problem has been solved using the Sizzex Big Shot and two stayfresh mats (used when making flowers etc. to keep paste moist).
Roll paste – I used my trusty pasta roller on No 1 and place on a stayfresh mat
Add the impression mat
Add the second stayfresh mat
Add the top carrier sheet and roll
Beautifully evenly embossed sugarpaste – restricted only by the size of your texture sheet
Layer your mats until you get a fit that works. My life got a whole lot easier once this little trick dawned on me I can tell you and I think that I will now use the texture mats that I have a whole lot more. This is the first cake that I have used this for.
Great!

That looks like a cool roller 😆
It is a paper craft die cutter and embosser Nina but it does this job perfectly xx
