Hi
I thought I’d share my thoughts on airbrushing, whilst still quite a novice I’ve loved my experiences of using it so far and it’s definitely a skill I’d love to develop. I have a dinky doodle airbrush. I really like their colours, I started with a ‘starter pack’ of basics. I’ve gradually added kroma colours as I’ve needed more – mostly because of the cost being so much cheaper! The best thing about the dinky doodle colours are the speed at which they dry but I think kroma maybe blend better.
I’m attaching photos of a sorting hat cake I airbrushed, showing the stages. I like to airbrush with a large box to catch the ‘back spray’, be warned the colour still goes everywhere! And the nose blowing afterwards can be…er…interesting! 😂
For those who are nervous about airbrushing, and those with an unused one sitting in a cupboard (come on, fess up!) my advice would definitely be to give it a whirl!
